How to get a full car service

I'm gonna give you an insight into car servicing and how long it takes and what it should

really cost I'm so frustrated listening to people friends family having taken their cars in and getting bills I know someone that's got an Audi a5 and they've just paid 500 pounds to get a

service done now I believe if you can wash a car you can service it it's that simple all you got to do is take a bowl off the bottom of the engine run all the oil out put the bolt back in and fill

the engine up with oil change half a dozen filters and that's it the job is done I filmed myself service in this truck yesterday it took me less than half an hour and I went into Toyota

I bought a service kit for it and that cost 82 pounds 99 so you can see I just got to say that one of the biggest revenue streams for garages and dealerships is their servicing that's

how they make their money so you know if you're a young couple starting out or or you know who's got the money to throw away these days we don't have the money to throw two-line other people's ass pockets do we so watch this video I hope it gives you a good insight into into service in a vehicle it's dead simple if you like it please subscribe give me a thumbs up and I will be over the moon right we're now back at my house and I've laid all these genuine Toyota parts out on this tailgate just to give you a look or what a service kit has got included I'm also going to give you alittle explanation as to what each part

does I think it's really important to have you know even the tiniest understanding as to what each bit does then you know when you're swapping apart you you understand it first let me show you the bill on there it says eighty-two pounds and 99 that's a lot better than getting

a huge bill from a garage all the garages will do and the dealerships will do exactly what we've done here they'll  walk to the parts department give the registration and ask for a service kit and they will get handed exactly the same parts so let's get on and unbox

these parts the first part is the fuel filter it does exactly as the name says this one's a paper filter that diesel comes from me the fuel tank runs through the pipes runs through this filter and goes into the engine completely clean the fuel filter is quite important to change once a year you know if you fill your vehicle up with a petrol can or something you can get sediment in the fuel and this collects it and keeps your engine nice and fresh the next thing this is your oil filter basically when you run an engine lots of little iron filings build up inside the inside the engine block well what this does is the oil circulates through this and this collects all those little eyelet iron filings so that it's not running around your engine if you do your oil fill or

once a year it's a major benefit to your engine's performance and lifespan if you never change this the lifespan of your engine would not be as good so it's it very simple will show you when we actually start the service the point of an air filter is to make sure that you have clean air going into the engine right we've opened the bonnet it looks scary at first but trust me once I mean most engines look similar we're going to tackle the air filter first most air filters just look like this they're just a big box where the air passes through and then go straight through the filter and into the engine you'll always find one of these in a car when you open the bonnet so we'll unclip the lid and I'll show you how simple this is to do so in this

particular one we just got three clips one there one down here all you do is

unclip them and that's the lid of the air filter all loose you in most cases you don't have to even unclip the wires you don't have to disconnect the pipe all you do make sure your clips are clear and you just lift it up and take a look inside and there you have one filthy air filter so
